Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair will now take place in 2022

21 Oct 2021

In response to recurrent outbreaks of Covid-19 in Thailand and surrounding ASEAN countries, Messe Frankfurt has decided to reschedule its trio of technology trade fairs for the Thai market until 2022. Originally scheduled to take place concurrently this November, Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair have now been moved to the new timeslot of 30 November – 2 December 2022 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre.

“Having previously postponed the three fairs in 2020, we have tried our best to bring the popular trio to fruition this year,” says Mr Hubert Duh, Executive Director, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. “However, in light of the ongoing situation, the safety of participants must take precedent. In close cooperation with the venue, we are thrilled to have secured new dates next year. The move sees the fairs maintain their traditional timeslot in Q4 and will allow us to hold all three events at the scale and quality that participants expect.”

In addition to safety concerns, practicality has also influenced the organiser’s decision. Attracting a number of overseas exhibitors as well as visitors from across the ASEAN region, the three fairs are highly dependent on international travel which is currently very difficult due to the travel restrictions in place in much of Asia.

Held concurrently in Bangkok, Secutech Thailand, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair offer wide-ranging business opportunities across the entire smart city and smart building ecosystem. With a specific focus on security and fire safety, Secutech Thailand connects buyers with renowned international suppliers of AI and IoT based solutions for Thailand’s growing number of smart cities. Likewise, under the theme of ‘Cities and Buildings of the Future’, Thailand Lighting Fair and Thailand Building Fair offer the full range of lighting and automation solutions for infrastructure development projects across Thailand and the wider ASEAN region.
